Damage Assessment and Mitigation Process
When we arrive, our technicians will evaluate the property and complete a full assessment of the damage. This includes:
- Identifying the path of the water and all impacted areas
- Determining how much damage has occurred
- Locating any areas of secondary damage
After the assessment is complete, we will coordinate with your maintenance team to develop a comprehensive drying plan.
Water Extraction: Using powerful, commercial-grade equipment, we will extract any standing water from the affected area. We will extract as much standing water as possible, as this promotes faster drying.
Drying Process: After standing water is extracted, our technicians will place drying equipment throughout the affected area according to IICRC standards. Equipment use will be optimized for the fastest drying times, and used in combination with HEPA air scrubbers to capture any hazardous particles.
Monitoring & Moisture Readings: Our technicians will perform moisture readings and monitor equipment daily. We will provide full documentation of the drying process to your insurance company, including moisture readings and photos.
Reconstruction: In instances where there is excessive damage or where building materials had to be removed to facilitate drying, repairs and reconstruction may be necessary. As a general contractor, GCPRO Restoration can put your property back together – there’s no need to work with another contractor!
